A Toolkit For Happiness: 53 Ways To Feel Better by Dr Emma Hepburn

Book Review Apr 18, 2022

My review

4/5 stars

I had come across the author of this book on Instagram and really liked the images she was using to discuss mental health on her feed. After following her for a few days, I found out that she had a book (or two) full of the same kind of content and knew that I wanted to read it asap.

There's nothing particularly groundbreaking in this content unless you're new to the genre, but the way that it's packaged makes it feel fresh and digestible. Brian the Brain is a great tool for making information feel easy to understand and fun to take in.

The exercises are very easy to follow and it strikes me that this book would be great to pick and put down as and when you need it. If you're finding a day challenging for a particular reason, you could just open the book to that particular challenge and do one of the exercises quickly. It works as a read all-in-one-go book as well though, as I did.

A great tool and well-packaged.
