This was a very fun, easy and light-hearted read, with great lead characters and an engaging plot. I enjoyed the banter and chemistry between Sophie and Dominic immensely - it had almost rom-com movie-type vibes. Sophie as an individual character was a very principled and self-assured lead, which gave her somewhat of an edge on other FMCs that I'm used to reading in Regency romances.

I resisted giving the book 5 stars because I found the miscommunication trope employed for the story to be a little too farfetched and jarring for me, and I also felt the ending was somewhat rushed given how much of a build there had been throughout the rest of the book.

Enjoyable experience and I am keen to read the other books in the series.
